Even from a very early age, Paul Horton dreamed of becoming an artist and spent much of his time painting and drawing to his heart's content. He excelled in art in school and at the encouragement of his art teacher
he eventually went on to study drawing and painting at Bournville School of Art, selecting the history of art and life drawing as his specialities.
Upon graduation Horton began a career in the printing industry, fusing his newly-learnt skills with his work in fine art and illustration to produce, exhibit and sell his work at any given opportunity. Eventually, in the Autumn of 1997 he decided to become a full-time professional artist, dedicating himself fully to his artwork and holding
a large solo exhibition in 1998, aptly called 'All in a Life's Work' which entailed his very best pieces he had painted over the course of his life. Featuring a live concert by rock star Steve Harley, the exhibition was a knock out success.
For much of 2002, Horton travelled around the UK, touring with the tour named 'Homes & Hearts' to launch his work to galleries around the country. Nowadays Horton continues to paint and additionally lectures
art to special needs students within his local community.
