John Lowrie Morrison - unbeatable prices
John Lowrie Morrison was born in 1948 in Glasgow and displayed a strong skill in art even at an early age. Taking a degree in Drawing and Painting at Glasgow School of Art, he graduated and began teaching to fund his painting, he slowly moved through the ladder, becoming head of art and design at Lochgilphead High School and then moving on to become the Art Adviser for the whole of the Strathclyde Region. At this point he travelled all around europe with his family,
being inspired by the wondrous sites that he saw during his travels.
Finally set on becoming a full time painter, Morrison successfully exhibited in the United
Kingdom, New York and in Hong Kong as well as having his paintings collected by many famous
celebrities such as Madonna and Sting, having collections of six and two respectfully.
Colours in Morrison's works are vivid, powerful, every so slightly distorted but yet so captivating and mysterious. The elements are painted in bright colour and merge seamlessly with the image, creating a powerful and magical piece.
