Internationally Renowned Photographer Eve Arnold’s photographs’ of Marilyn Monroe, published with the assistance of Washington Green Fine Art.
Eve Arnold was born in Pennsylvania on 21st April 1912 to Russian parents.
Her interest in photography started in 1946, whilst she was working in a photo-finishing plant in New York, but learning her skills from art director Alexi Brodovitch later at a school in Manhattan in 1948.
Arnold's passion for photography began in 1946 while working in New York at a
photo-finishing plant. She developed her skills further in 1948 from art director Alexi Brodovitch at a Manhattan school. Arnold continued her path in photography when she joined Magnum Photo Agency in 1951, becoming a full member in 1957. Arnold is best known for her photos she took of Marilyn Monroe between 1951-1961 including ones taken on the set of Monroe's last film 'The Misfits.'
In 2005 a selection of her previously unpublished and unseen photos were exhibited in London. Her first limited editions were released in 2006 by Washington Green.
