Ben Payne - unbeatable prices

Ben Payne is known for his new and uplifting artwork. Born in 1975 in Surrey he was already selling his work at the age of 16 and became a major talent in Britain. As a youngster he drew portraits as a pastime and is self – taught but produces artwork that is technically brilliant.

He studied Psychology at Southampton University and after receiving his degree in this field became an Independent therapist and followed a career in the field of Autism, working with children and helping them to get passed the daily problems they encounter. He continued his painting in his spare time while working and started to experiment in oils.

Bens work is enchanting and dreamy yet he deals with realistic subjects. Ben believes his experience of working with children gave him an insight in how best to communicate in an accessible way and produces artwork that is sophisticated yet very enchanting.

Ben’s impressive land, sky and seascapes are inspired by the coastline of Britain and his pictures are influenced by Turner and Whistler. This influence is noticeable in the technique he uses, producing a delicate airiness of clouds and a range of colour’s that give his paintings character.
