Kerry Darlington - unbeatable prices
Born in North Wales in a traditional coastal town, Kerry Darlington was born and developed a love for art after being inspired by a collection of old picture books including Dulac, Rackham, Beardsley, Art-Nouveau and Pre-Raphaelite paintings. She went on to take on a degree in Illustration in 1996.
Following her graduation she went to work in South America but returned to the United Kingdom to work as an Illustrator and Designer for a company specialising in sculpted clay murals for private buyers in the US, United Arab Emirates and Middle East. Darlington now works from her home-based studio in North Wales, creating her works and developing her style.
Since then, Darlington has completed many endevours in the art work including releasing her Volcanic Collections of 2005 & 2006 and becoming a finalist in the 'Best Up-and-Coming Published Artist' category in the Fine Art Trade Guild Awards of 2007. She is now one of the best selling artists in the UK with her works being distributed and exhibited in many galleries nationwide.
Darlington's works are varied greatly, some being bright and full of colour, displaying life in all it's glory and majesty, but some being almost apocalyptic and distraught with burnt cinders of trees and grass. Within the variation however there is a common connecting subject of nature, perhaps to display the effect humans have on the earth and to build a connection between the various images within her works.
