Rob Hefferan is one of the UK’s leading figurative realist artists.
Rob Hefreran was born in Warrington in 1968, growing up he was desperate to become an artist, but was discouraged from this at any opportunity, the only person who tried to encourage him was his school art teacher. After ignoring everyone’s advice and criticisms, Rob enrolled at University on a course on Illustration.
After twelve months, he didn’t feel comfortable with the restrictions on the course, so left and tried to make it on his own.
Rob then spent the next 12 months creating his portfolio, and then went out to find work that he could use in artistic abilities in but make enough money to finance his real dream. It was his versatility as an artist that enabled him to find a range of jobs from an advertising designer to a book illustrator. Soon he was making enough money to do this, but at the same time working in a job he loved, however even with the success he was having, his ideal was to concentrate on being a full time artist, rather than in his spare time.
This dream was finally to become a reality, when he teamed up with Demontfort Fine Art, producing stunning limited editions.
