Born in 1944 in Elswick, Newcastle, Malcolm Teasdale grew up in a family of successive miners and lived and worked in Westerhope. He developed a love of painting and took up a successful career as a painter for over forty years. Since his humble upbringing, Teasdale has exhibited in a range of galleries and events including but not limited to the first Newcastle/Gateshead Art Fair for HSBC, Whitewall Gallery in Grey Street in Newcastle and in many galleries in Bath and the Midlands during 2011. After his success exhibiting at the Biscuit Factory in Newcastle, Teasdale has been invited to be the group's leading artist for the same even in Winter 2012 and following that, will have his paintings exhibited in Chelsea at the Royal College of Art and in the Affordable Art Fair.

Teadale's works are vivid reimaginations of his prior experiences while growing up and working in the mining and industrial sites in and around Newcastle, the dreary colours are offset by a rising light on the horizon, perhaps to signify a new dawn, a change in the social hierarchy and economic structure. The rain and mist blends flawlessly with the rest of the image to create an old and nostalgic scene, still full of life.No Artworks Exists
