Born in Manchester in 1966, James Blinkhorn grew up in an artistic family. Excelling at Art in school, even so much as to be taken out of lessons just to paint, he received many commissions from staff and parents and as a teenager he was a semi-finalist in a large art competition.

After studying at Tameside College of Art, Blinkhorn set up a studio in Cheshire and after featuring in many one-man shows around the local area he had set up a prominent reputation within the artistic community. He now exhibits all across Europe and America with a wide range of private collectors and corporations now housing his works including Siemens and BT.

Blinkhorn's style is very solid and firm, the subjects are typically cityscapes and often give a sense of dystopia despite the subject era being contemporary. Combining these dystopian-esque cityscapes with a beautifully lit sky creates a powerful effect of inspiration and awe.No Artworks Exists
