Derrick Fielding was born in 1965 in Liverpool, spending hours at a time reading comics and drawing. As he grew older he used his passion for drawing to create games for himself and his neighbourhood friends, using his father's profession as a painter and decorator to stock himself with apt amounts of wallpaper for use as canvases.

Excelling in Art at school, he eventually left upon coming of age and took on an
apprenticeship as a sign writer at a nearby racecourse, painting the surrounding
Liverpuddlean architecture and landscapes in his free time. In 1999 he left his job as a
sign maker and became self-employed, developing his painting commissions with a gift idea, allowing clients to be provided with a framed presentation that displayed his works with the names of the inhabitants of a matching street in Liverpool. For the idea and for his design of a football board game, Fielding recieved a business award.

Fielding became married in 2005 and being inspired by his wife he took on a more
contemporary style of painting which allowed him to take on a publishing contract with
Washington Green. His paintings have since been distributed nationwide.

Fielding's amazing use of contrast and perspective has allowed him to create dynamic works with considerable repute, taking on fantastical imagery set in a real world setting, the works are alike a dreamscape world with beautiful reflections, strong shadows and bright vivid colours, all very clean and clearly defined to create a dreamy setting within his paintings. No Artworks Exists
